The sun setting in Devon (and on my training)

It’s all hands to the pump here in the Finn household, with only a few days left until we set off on our long trip around Ireland. Marietta and I have to-do lists tumbling out of our phones like to-do-list Hydras, each one spouting new lists quicker than we can tick them off.

I had thought I wouldn’t get another long run in this week, since there was just too much to organise, and, really, I thought it wasn’t going to make much difference anyway; what was done was now done.

However, the motorhome has had a warning light flashing on the dashboard, so I thought I should probably get it looked at before we set off. Breaking down in the middle of nowhere on the west coast of Ireland, mid-run, wouldn’t be great, so anything to help prevent that was worth doing.

However, all the garages in Totnes said they either couldn’t fix motorhomes, or they were too busy this week. I found a garage about 10 miles away who could look at it, so I thought I’d drop it off in the morning, and then run home. I could literally run my errands, I thought. Great plan.
