I'M HOPING THAT I’ll soon look back at this week’s Musings, this past week just gone, and think: “That was the low point. That was rock bottom. It all got better after that.”
Ever since I played that game of Lads vs Dads football last December, I’ve been fighting a heel injury that has seen me struggle to run even 20 miles a week and left me pulling out of two races I was hugely looking forward to, The Grizzly and the Manchester Marathon.
Right now I should be purring, fresh from a fast time in Manchester, and ready to start building up the mileage for my epic 2,500km run around Ireland in a few months. The reality, unfortunately, is a little different.
